R&R Technologies, Inc. provides repair and health check services for DAI vehicle traffic counter units.

Repairs

We can repair the following units:

• MicroCounts I
• MicroCounts II
• MicroCounts IV
• MicroCounts V

If the repairs are extensive and we cannot repair the unit, or we will require additional time, we will call you with the estimated time and cost.

Health Checks

When a unit is sent to us we will check over the entire unit to make sure it is functioning properly and fix minor problems or possible problems that we find.

We recommend that units be sent in every year to make sure they are still in proper running order for your next count season. Health Checks cost $50 per unit plus any additional replacement parts, the most common replacement parts are the battery (which costs an additional $10) and the rotary knob (which costs an additional $10).

Health checks are usually done on just the brains of the unit. If you would like us to check the entire metal box and brains we charge $90 per unit plus parts.

A Health Check consists of:

	-	Inspecting and repairing the unit.
			- Testing battery voltage.
			- Checking for broken connections.
			- Cleaning off any corrosion.
			- Reseating loose chips.
			- Upgrading firmware.
			- Checking that switches and connectors are in good shape.
			- Checking/Setting unit date/time.
	-	Testing units on a rack to simulate counts in the field.
	-	Downloading data in WinCounts and checking date/time to make sure unit is in proper working order.

Cables

We can make download cables (office or field cables) for DAI units for those who need replacements at $50 per cable.

Purchasing traffic counters

We do not manufacture any vehicle traffic counter units. DAI traffic counters are no longer in production, however if you are looking to purchase traffic counters you may wish to visit Diamond Traffic's website and take a look at their line of products.
