Options
The PS-1 currently has two options available, a RS-232 interface and
a USB interface.
Both interfaces appear to the PC as a serial comm port. The comm port settings are:
Baud rate: 115200
Data bits: 8
Stop bits: 1
Parity: none
Handshake: none
The RS-232 interface is via a standard DB-9 connector on the rear panel of the PS-1.
The USB interface is via a standard USB type B connector on the rear panel of the PS-1. With the USB interface, you will need to download the appropriate virtual comm port drivers.
Currently, these interfaces can be used to read the PS-1 settings, read/monitor the PS-1 measurements (such as output voltage and output current), set the output voltage and current limit, and to upgrade the PS-1 firmware. The latest firmware version will
always be available on this website.
